STEVENS POINT COUNTRY CLUB BANQUET INFORMATION* Special Events Create Special Requirements (Back to top) At the Stevens Point Country Club, we recognize the unique demands that your special occasion merits. Most importantly, we possess the level of experience that assures the success of a function that you might be considering. No detail is ever too trivial or any request too demanding. Out staff and facility welcome the challenge of exceeding any expectations. We will ensure that the ambiance of every occasion will never be obscured by the demands of your event. Just leave the planning to our professional staff, if you so desire. The Stevens Point Country Club is pleased to be the site of your reception, dinner, or special event. Whether large or small, we can accommodate any event and all that it may require. When considering a function, we suggest that you please consider the every distinctive advantage of which the Stevens Point Country Club is justifiably distinguished.
Banquet Guidelines and Arrangements (Back to top) 1. A preset menu is required for all private parties of twenty or more people. A single entrée is strongly recommended for ALL functions. Should a second choice be desired, it can be provided for groups of 200 or people or less providing the following conditions are met. a. The exact number of each entrée is reported to the club at least 72 hours in advance with 100% guarantee in effect. All billing will reflect this minimum guarantee. b. Identification in the form of color coded place cards or some other method must be provided to assist wait staff in serving properly and without delay. 2. A guarantee for numbers of persons attending all private parties must be made by noon at least three (3) days prior to the function. 3. Final menu selections must be submitted at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of the function to guarantee the availability of the items desired. 4. Entrée tasting may be arranged through the office of the Banquet/Catering Manager and are at the client’s expense. One week’s notice is required. 5. All prices are subject to change to meet economic conditions 30 days prior to the party. We will make every effort to guarantee all prices quoted. 6. Food and beverage prices are subject to an 18% service charge and 5.5% state sales tax. State law requires that sales tax is charged against the entire bill, including the service charge. The service charge is the property of the Stevens Point Country Club, which has complete discretion as to its use and distribution. 7. A Club member hosting a party may charge the bill to their account, due upon receipt. All other events shall be due and payable on the date of the function, unless credit is previously arranged with the business office. 8. There may be a room charge if breakfast, lunch, or dinner is not served. 9. Private bartender charges will be $10.00 per hour with a four hour minimum if liquor sales total less than $300.00. 10. A $500.00 deposit is required on all non-member weddings to secure a date. The deposit is non-refundable. 11. If you prefer, we will be pleased to design a menu for your special occasion. You are not limited to the choices offered on the banquet menu. 12. Rules of the club prohibit members, their guests, or outside groups from introducing prepared food or beverages onto Club premises for consumption, other than wedding/celebration cakes. All food and beverages served or consumed on the Club property MUST be purchased from the Stevens Point Country Club and the Club reserves the right to inspect and control any parties on the premises. 13. Individuals or group holding events at the Stevens Point Country Club agree to be responsible for any charges, damages to Club property or equipment, and for the conduct of their guests. Under no circumstances are guests allowed onto the golf course or on the greens, with the exception of pre-arranged photography sessions for weddings. Throwing rice, birdseed, etc., is prohibited. 14. All individuals or groups giving or sponsoring a party are advised that the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 years is not permitted. We trust that neither you nor your guests will be embarrassed, and will understand, should an employee not serve a minor or ask for identification. The Club reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who cannot provide valid proof of age or to anyone who appears intoxicated. Circumvention of any one of these policies by the host or guests may result in the immediate closing of the bar. The Club may refuse service to any group of people who in the opinion of management pose a threat to themselves or others. 15. The Stevens Point Country Club will not assume responsibility for any damages or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the club prior to, during, or after any function. 16. Representatives of the Stevens Point Country Club will meet with you and your family; speak with your florist, photographer, entertainers, etc. If you are considering a consultant, have them contact our banquet manager. 17. Valet parking and coat check are available for your function. See the banquet manager for prices. The Club is not responsible for lost or stolen articles or damaged or stolen vehicles (unless an employee of the SPCC is directly involved in the damages). 18. The Stevens Point Country Club has the following audio-visual aids available at no charge: Podium/P.A. system, Screen, Flipchart, overhead projector, computer projector, TV’s and DVD player and slide projector. 19. Entertainment: a. The catering office will be pleased to recommend musical groups or entertainment. b. All details of entertainment and music must be made known in advance and must be approved by the Club management. No special equipment except that arranged for, supplied or approved by the Club will be permitted. c. Musical groups may not be booked later than 1:00am and it is the responsibility of the host to see that said group vacates the premises in all due haste. d. Please give us the spokesperson’s name and phone number for your musicians or entertainment. It is important that they contact us regarding set-up times, location, power needs, entrance to the Club, etc. The Club reserves the right to control the volume of your entertainment. 20. All details of decorating must be made known in advance. No decorations involving tape to wallpaper or tracks or nails to woodwork or any other damage to the building will be permitted. We thank you for choosing us for your special event. The above guidelines are designed to protect you the client as well as the Club, and to enable us to provide you with a flawless event.
