My name is Aschley Jurgella, and this will be my
second year being the tennis instructor at the SPCC. I have many years of
tennis experience, and I would like to give you a little background information
about myself. I started receiving tennis lessons since the very young age of
three. When I became old enough I started to help children learn about the game
of tennis. Since then I have been teaching tennis lessons at various locations,
and have taught at the Stevens Point Recreation Department for three years.
During my career I played #1 singles at Pacelli, and finished in the top ten
all three years that I qualified for state. I received 1st team
all conference my junior and senior year. After my senior year I signed on with
the University of Wisconsin Green-Bay tennis team receiving a full scholarship.
I just finished up my sophomore year playing #2 and #3 singles and #2 doubles
for the tennis team, and it was an exciting year! My major at UWGB is Biology,
with future hopes of becoming a Veterinarian. I am very excited for another
year of tennis, and I am open to any and all suggestions.
Hope to see some of you soon!!
Sincerely,
Aschley Jurgella
Tennis Classes
For classes to run, we must have a minimum of
4 students
in the class.
In the event of rain while class is in progress we will move
inside for further discussion on the game of tennis, and if tennis is
rescheduled, it will be for Friday at the same time.
Private lessons will also be offered for any ages. The cost
will be $10 for 30 minutes and $20 for an hour. These lessons can be used to
catch up in class, or perhaps if you want some extra help on the side.
These time frames are not permanent, and if a different time
would work better for you or if you have any suggestions please contact Aschley
Jurgella.
Tennis lessons will start the week of June 18th.
Please sign up by either contacting Aschley Jurgella at
715-498-4004 or there will be sign up sheets in the greenery and in the
clubhouse.
If you bring a guest they must pay the SPCC guest fee
of $2 along with the tennis lesson fee.
